Village Tour: Itinerary

What you will experience during the Village Tour:
- Pick-up at your guesthouse at 9:30 AM.
- Drive to the villages behind Bukit Lawang, enjoying spectacular views of the Gunung Leuser Park skyline and rice fields, with an option to stop and observe local farmers cultivating the fields (seasonal).
- Pass by rubber and palm plantations, with opportunities to stop and explore.
- Visit local homes producing brown sugar, tempeh and tofu.
- Refresh with fresh coconut water straight from the trees.
- Learn traditional crafts like making Atap (leaf roof) or Tepas (bamboo leaf wall).
- Enjoy a delicious local lunch.
- On Fridays, visit the local market for souvenirs, spices, and fruit.
- Return to Bukit Lawang around 1:30 PM.

WHO IS VILLAGE TOUR FOR
- For those who can handle cycling in tropical weather and want to learn about local life. If cycling isn’t suitable for you, we can go by tuk-tuk, which is less tiring.

- Shoes suitable for cycling (if you’ll cycling; flip-flops are fine for the tuk-tuk tour)

Village Tour: Price

What is the price of a trip to Tangkahan, what is included and what are the payment terms?

- 35 EUR/person.

PAYMENT TERMS
- Deposit: 30% of the total price by one of the payment methods listed below.
- Balance: Before the start of the trek in cash or one of the payment methods listed below.
POSSIBLE PAYMENT METHODS
- Transfer to Indonesian bank account: We only use SWIFT, not IBAN, but if you have Revolut, the transfer is possible.
- Card: We use Stripe to enable secure payment via link. Neither we nor anyone else can see your payment card details. A regular card, Apple Pay or Google Pay can be used for payment.
- Revolut: Payment between Revolut accounts or from Revolut to our Indonesian bank account.
- PayPal: A 3% transaction fee will be added to PayPal payments. The other payment methods mentioned above are free.
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
- Cancellation 10 days or more before the trek: Full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation 3 – 10 days before the trek: Half of the deposit refunded.
- Cancellation 2 – 0 days before the trek: Deposit forfeited.
- Cancellation by trek operator: Full refund of the deposit.
